Well, I completely underestimated how much time it would take me to give my workshop. You know, the one I thought would be done in 20 minutes? The one I was freaking out about (just a little bit)?
Well, I talked for 50 minutes and only got 60% through my material. I'm laughing about it now, and I was laughing about it then. Inside mostly, but always because I'm amused at myself, my anxiety and the gap between expectation and reality.
I wish I hadn't run out of time--the people who were there seemed very interested, which is always gratifying. If what I have now is nearly two hours long, I think I need to figure out a way to tighten it up and condense it. If I can do that, I think this can be a fabulous workshop. And that's the best outcome of all.

Glad to hear the workshop went so well :-) Doesn't surprise me though! And I always find it takes way longer to give a talk than we expect!!
